January's Rare Fish Auction - Members Only

7 years 5 months ago #34659 by keltonsports
I just want to say thanks to everyone who made this auction possible. I love new world cichlids! I have only been around a few years and must say that this club is awesome! It is always full of very nice people. Thank you to being accepting of everyone!

PS I'm thinking of naming my Fish Room as Patrick's Parachromis Paradise! Thanks to the auction I have Parachromis Loisellie "Panama Orange, and the return of Parachromis Friedrichsthalii "La Cebia" . These will fit in right next to my Parachromis Motaguensis "Red Tiger" as well as Parachromis Managuensis "Honduran Jaguar".

I gotta say I've been around the club a bit longer than some and have to tell ya how much better these auctions have become. Between us as a board loosening the purse strings to actually deliver on the term "rare" and Jason's selections, these auctions are truly an event not to miss now. I also just want to throw out there that the club itself in my opinion is in such a great state right now, it makes me grin from ear to ear. There were a few, in my opinion only, who thought (hoped even?) that the "new" regime would fail. I'm glad it didn't. I'm so excited about the newer board members who have stepped up (Mario and Jason have value in our recent surge that simply can't be measured), and old standbys that just always seem to fill in whatever needs there are.....Ric, Rick, Keith, Lehners, Kopinski's, Kegger, Don and I'm sure I'm missing a few. And then we have all the new members jumping in and being very active. Our 2013 Aquarist of the year Betsy, and Rob, Chef Jimmy, Patrick, Eric, Jimmy, and Matt who has even run a swap in my absence!

I'm excited guys. Thanks to all of you for all making this OUR club.

Yes, Bob did a great job. Thank You uncle Bob.
Also thanks to all other volunteers, Rick Perez ( aka Grizzly Adams ) who pick the fish from airport and house them for a day or two, but the biggest thank you goes to Jason, who successfully put another one of those rare fish auction ( I think 3rd or 4th in a row ). Very cool slide show presentation, and impressive list of fish for auction.
Thank You Jason

So I say to her……There is plenty of stuff at the house for the baby to eat!!!! I REALLY need this fish……

It was a great event and it was cool to see a lot of the former board members

I must say that the Central & South American rare fish events bring a great number of people to the meeting.
