Yes sir Sawboy :) I figured that was you.

I was looking for info on Nkambae and remembered this site so I popped back in. I spent the first 35 years of my life in Chicagoland so I figured you all wouldn't run me off  I may have told you this before but I graduated from that HS down the street from you in Westchester (and it is not St. Joe's either).

Thanks SD.

To answer your question: no. That was my old wild caught kilesa group which came from a friend in Cali who had been a long time importer from the Rift Lakes.

Great pictures Razzo and welcome -

Were any of these picked up at the classic?

A Pig and a Chicken are walking down the road. The Chicken says, "Pig, I was thinking we should open a restaurant!". Pig replies, "What would we call it?". The Chicken responds, "How about ham-n-eggs?" The Pig thinks for a moment and says, No thanks. I'd...

Not advisable. How many were you planning on keeping? The larger the tank the better.

I even think a four foot tank is small for kilesa. A displaying male will dig his pitt/build his sand castles and that will take up almost your entire 29 gallon tank. He will chase away all others except for a female he is displaying too. The other fish will have nowhere to go.

Below are a few pics of a kilesa group I had in a 72 gallon bow front tank. If you have a six foot tank, your chances of having more than one male displaying at a time is greater.

The dots mark the sand castles that the male built and his pitt in the center. You can see that this takes up a large part of this four foot tank.

Hope that helps.
