Paracyprichromis nigripinnis is sort of a rock dweller, the love to hang out parallel to vertical surfaces. If you have taller rocks, they could help fill some of the height in that tank. Smaller julies would work in there for a rock dweller or even, my favorites, comps or calvus. Zaire gold buescheri would be good.

Not checked for facts.

Orange scribbles are nice but I had no luck breeding them in a 35 gallon. They bred well in a 125 and have tons of fry in a spawn.
I have had a pair of Zaire gold buescheri breeding for 12 years now in a 30 breeder which is the same dimensions of a 65 only half the height but they only have around 10 fish in a spawn.
I have no luck breeding more than 1 spiecies of lamps in 3 foot tanks unless one was a juli or a brichardi.
I do have a small group of buescheri I was thinking of growing to get a replacement pair going as I don't know how much longer I can depend on the old pair. I have around 6 left at near 2" that I put in a 125 to pair off. The dominant male drives the weaker males to the top of the tank until a pair is formed. One male has already been driven out. That is the only way I know how to pair up buescheri. If you find a pair of buescheri for sale they generally will run around $75 for a proven pair but I don't know anyone willing to part with a proven pair.

I have a 65 gallon 36" and and I am looking for one rock dweller and one shell dweller. I would like them to not get larger that 3-4", and 1m 2f of each species would be perfect, but I would like to buy them as pairs/trios as I don't have a way of getting rid of extra fish if I were to buy several juvies.

My first choice was buescheri/hecqui, but I can't find pairs of buescheri. Would Telmatochromis orange scribble would get along with hecqui? I've been trying to research but there isn't much out there besides people keeping them in small species tanks. What I have been able to find about the orange scribbles makes me concerned that their habitat requirements overlap a bit with the hecqui which would cause problems. I'm not set on the hecqui they are just a larger shellie that would work with a more aggressive rock dweller, so I you have any suggestions I am open to them.

Thanks
