I would stick with tough mbunu or vics. Labeotropeus, bumble bees, greshalki, or the vic haps. No labidichromis or red zebras, or ruby green and obliquedins haps.

I have some Otopharynx Lithobates. Any chance of them being a suitable tankmate?

Not likely. Lithobates are a pretty mild mannered hap.

You might be able to put one or the other with the Labeotropheus. Definitely can't put either one in with the peacocks you are getting.

I ordered Chipoke and Auratus, unaware of how mean these fish are. Thanks to a warning from Shawn, I have an advanced notice of what I'm in for. Fortunately, I have 2 extra 125s I can use. My question is: What fish can I put in with the Melanochromis? I can justify tying up 2 bigger tanks, but not as single species tanks. Please help a rookie out.
