I have a pair of L. sp. "Red Cap" Chirwa - and they aren't timid.  My male has taken bites at my L. fuelleborni Katale and C. afra Lupingu males on occasion.  When he is after his girl - tankmates best stay out of his way.

cool....it'd be great if i could get more input. i read that they are sort of timid in a way and could be dominated by a small mbuna male.

gotta love those cichlids!

Me personally no, but there are plenty of members on here who have spawned them successfully and are currently keeping them.
