Have always seen all-male tanks somewhat 'overstocked' to keep the aggression spread out among all the fish. Again, size of tank can play a major role.

What size tank do you want to keep the male mbuna in? That will make a difference.

Acei tend to be on the more mellow side of Mbuna. There are a couple of different locales that you can choose from that will provide you with different colors. There are also several labs. Of course, with any cichlids, you run the risk of aggression.

is it possible to have an all male mbuna tank without aggression ? are they all little demons ? i have demasoni and they have to go, i dont like fish who are always trying to kill eachother. i have 25 cichlid stones so plenty of hiding but still have fish with flesh wounds. are any (besides yellow labs) able to live in peace ?
