They seem most active and colorful at 80-82 and lay lots of eggs. You think I should bring it down a notch?

Acclimate as normal. He'll be fine. But why is the tank at 82*? that's really warm. Thos parrots are fine at 75ish.

Hello, I have a royal pleco about 5 inches I have been housing with my gymnos. He has been chewing on the XXXL piece of driftwood I have in there and really clouding up the water with saw dust. I know they do this Ive had him for a long time but I didn't think about the sand and it being difficult to maintain plus the gymnos always kicking up the substrate. So I want to move him in with my tank full of blood parrots and gravel. Problem; gymno tank 70 degrees, parrot tank 82. I am worried that the temp difference is to great and the acclimation might be detrimental to his well being. Aside from slowly making the tank temps closer is there a better safer way or should I acclimate as normal and not worry?
