Haven't seen any altifrons on this trip, I've not been close to their range yet. May go down there or not. Very pretty fish.

The tuba aren't super rare in rivers where they aren't fished.

I have a confession. I'm a cichlaholic.

Hi guys,

I'm back in Costa Rica doing research on the freshwater fishes and am doing a daily blog (when I have internet) of what I see. There are photos and videos predominantly of the cichlids but of a few other fishes as well (Poecilids, Eleotrids, Gobiidae).

Check out my blog Fish 4 Thought : fish4thought.wordpress.com/
