Club offered dry goods such as tanks and filters huh?  Can you elaborate a little?  Like what size tanks,  and types of filters.  I am looking to get some more tanks on the cheap and this could be a good way to go.

Milwaukee Aquarium Society 2008 Spring Auction Sunday March 16th

Burnham Bowl (60th and Burnham)
6016 W. Burnham
Milwaukee, WI 53219

(a new fall auction and swap location is HIGHLY likely-we are working out the details now)

It starts at noon.  Check in is between 10:00am and noon...do not be late for check in if you are selling fish as they WILL NOT be accepted after 12:00!

The last auction had between 500 and 550 bags to sell and was done around 5:00-5:30pm (maybe it was a little later).

The club offers a selection of new drygoods-tanks, filters, food, decorations, etc. at a seperate table which opens at 10:00am and runs until 3:30 or so.  What doesn't sell goes back to the whoesaler.

At the start of the auction there are usually 200-250 people in the room.  By the end it's down to 50-75 people.  A normal auction-just not the scale of a GCCA auction.

The basics:

-limit of 5 bags of any one species of fish or plant per household (incluiding color forms  ex. only 5 bags of angelfish regaurdless of color-black, gold, silver, marble, etc.  Not 5 bags of each color form)

-limit 50 bags per household

-all fish, plants, and aquatic animals such as snails, newts, crayfish, and those ever loveable frogs only.  NO DRYGOODS.

-doors open at 10:00am for registration, check-in, bag viewing, and drygoods sales

-MAS takes the first dollar of every bag sold and then it's a 80%/20% split seller/club (same as GCCA)

-cash or check only (MAS is not yet set-up to take credit cards)

Check out www.mas-wi.com for details or e-mail/PM me and I'll try to answer your questions or direct you to someone who can.

Buyer/Seller numbers are available in advance.  Contact Ron Revolinski at revo@execpc.com

Too many fish?  Never.  Not enough tanks?  Always!
