shipping fish

For shipping fish first you need to consider Oxygen. Oxygen is easy to come by, but the setup can be a little expensive. Medical oxygen is easier to deal with than large welding supply situations. It has to do with where we live for the most part…but O2 is O2. Whether the product comes form a med supply house or a welding shop, the O2 in the tank is the same. You can frequently find used medical valve systems at swap meets/flea markets or garage sales.

-- The very cool guy who wrote that very cool article, was kind enough to give me the lowdown on shipping fish. Thanks again for that, Mario. You certainly know your stuff.

Newbie breeders here just wanted to get some insight here on what everyone is doing when they ship fish.
1. Carrier?
2. Overnight or priority mail?
3. Breather bags or regular double bags?
4. Any additives for bag? bag buddies, ship right?
5. How many days stop feeding prior to shipping?
6. Heat sealed bags?
Just looking for some comments on shipping. Thanks ahead of time for your input.
