Royal Pleco L190/L330 Egg Clutch

Found this on line...interesting............

www.aquaticcommunity.com/pleco/royal.php

If you want to induce breeding in Royal plecos, try to mimic a dry season with a subsequent rainy season in the aquarium. The rainy season typically brings cooler, softer and more acidic water combined with plenty of meaty food and green foods. You can use rain water and do a major water change.[/b]

i'm pretty sure they have never been bred in captivity, or very infrequently, at best.

This AM (4:45) moved all fish to new tank...foam covered 2 remaining filters inlets and lowered flow rate....Left for work again hope to be back by Tues. Noon...pleco seems to be fanning yet....no apparent wigglers.

Undisturbed, the pleco probably wont kick the fry out til they are free swimming. He hasn't even seen a fry yet.
