Road trip!  I might be going towards detroit the end of January to pick up a 1960 Catalina for a buddy who might be buying it.  Could turn into a real adventure.......

Fantastic Fins needs serious help with their website.

They are a LFS located in Livonia on Ann Arbor Road, just east of I275.  Very intelligent fish keepers who breed lots of their stuff and are also supplied by Pete Durkin.  These guys also breed plecs like nobody's business (seriously!).  Dale, one of the owners, helped to push me to being further than the occasional hobbiest back in the 90's.

I find that they usually have a good sense of what is hot in the Detroit area... which usually differs than over here in Chicago.  They will also be doubling the size of their store in the next year.  Which indicates that they are doing something right.

Of them all, Wet Thumb is the can't miss stop.  Unfortunately, they are located in New Baltimore... just over the water from Ontario north of Detroit, and are just a little out of the way (about 30 min up I94 from Warren without traffic).

What are these fabtastic locales you speak of?? 

I was talking with Bob about a week before christmas inquiring about some fish, he was gonna see if his daughter was coming for christmas and see if she could drop them off to me on the way back home but I never got back to him, was thinking about taking a ride up there to see his place though
