Thanks to all who have given there input on this tank, I greatly appreciate it. Mario, thanks for the name of the gentleman that might know more about it. I have googled his name and found some info about him, but can not locate his email or possibly a phone #. If someone knows how I can get in touch with him, I would appreciate it.

Joe Ferdezi from New York is the guy who was a speaker at the ACA Louisville last year, talking about "History of the hobby"
Like Jason said, he went to the extreme, and I'm sure he knows about copper framed aquarium.

I started in this hobby in the 50's and stainless steel frames were standard then. I used to see iron framed tanks pretty often, from the 40's I think. This certainly predates that, I would think the 30's. Not very many hobbyists before that. You might be interested in seeing a tank that belonged to the late George Maier, one of the founders of the Chicago Killiefish Assn. It's in the shape of a Chicago bungalow. If you look, I'm sure you can find a picture on line. I wonder who owns it now.

Interesting, I've seen some of the old metaframe tanks and such that were done with other metal but never seen a copper framed tank.
