Here is my dilemma- I have a heavily stocked 75g Malawi tank on the bottom of a two tank stand. My AC110 cracked and there is not enough room for another HOB filter(yes, Im an idiot). I am currently using a 125g rated sponge with a Whisper 65 air pump which seemed to work fine for me but I think I was getting more algae on the rocks than when I had the HOB and sponge combined.

Shoud I replace air pump with a powerhead to increase flow?
Use a  bigger air pump?
Or leave it alone, if it ain't broke don't fix it ???

PS I'd rather not buy a canister if I don't have to.
