Seal between the panes is air/water tight other wise you would have a leaker.

Wouldn't that affect the seal between each pane of glass? or is the seal between that almost inseparable?

If it is under the silicone there isn't much hope except for stripping the tank and then resealing it.

Cleaning an algae ridden tank. was created by klassichobbies
Ok so I'm redoing the fish room. I'm locating most everything into one room on too racks in the shape of an L. Going to keep the 75 and 125 display tanks and also the 60 gallon hex. That is what this post is about. This hex has silicone on each of the six joints. On each joint, there is algae UNDER the silicone. Any suggestions on how to rid the green menace? Thanks much
