I got one with a box of stuff I acquired from a friend, it's really not worth spending the money. The bag clogs up quickly and the impeller runs through batteries like crazy.

I think if would be fine for any type of tank. I use a hose and bucket for most of my fry tanks in case something gets pulled in the hose I can just fish it out in the bucket. I dont see any advantage to using the "mr. cleaner" because spending the extra 5 minutes on a water change would do great things for the fry.

ok but i iam changing to a sponge filter i took out my gravel and there is a little ball of something probable waste sitting there and i am going to the sponge filter soon
