Too bad I have AC powerheads and Ehiem Aquaballs!

That is a great Idea! The Cups are the WORST!

;D

I've used one to push water into a HOB refugium in a saltwater tank.  I've used one for a protein skimmer on a reeftank.  I am about to use one at the bottom of a tall tank for water circulation, I am more concerned about circulation of the oxygenated water as well as temperature differences in a 30" tall tank.  I was going to use some small diameter PVC pipes fitted together to hold up a rock wall that won't topple over, and I got the idea to put a powerhead at the top of the structure to push water down through the pipes into the bottom of the tank, helping to get aerated water lower in the tank.  I think the MaxiJets are the best for the money.  I am going to try to hook one up to a magnet holder instead of the suction cups so that I can move it around easier at the bottom of the tank, and pull it to the top for cleaning.

Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,Ding,

We have a winner!

I use them for both! My faves are AC's and I also have the ehiem aquaballs for movement.

;)

I have a couple powerhead that I use just to move the top of the water. What other reasons do people use them for besides that sponge filters, and ugjs. I just want to get a couple ideas since I am thinking of using some extra hobs to move the top of the water.
