I bought a used magnum 350 and it didn't come with any media. What is the best media to set up with this?

the magnum 350 canister has a cage type thing and a blue filter pad that goes around the cage thing. i filled mine with charcol when i used the 350.

Also, What is the best way to set it up so that the water doesn't leak out over the top. I tried setting it up a few times, and sometimes it will work fine, but sometimes there will be water at the rim of the top.

Do you have the redish orange rubber band like ring gasket thing? did that make sense? if not look online for a part number and see if you can order it from marineland or see if a local store carries replacement parts for marineland filters. can you figure out exactly where it is leaking from. finding that out will help us figure out how to fix it.

Also, I need longer hoses so that I place it inside my wooden satnd, on the bottom. where can I find longer hoses?

you can look at a local store fore new hoses orcontact marineland for those as well.
