I really wish I painted my tank before I filled it.  I was thinking of getting foam or cardboard the size of the back of my tank and painting that and putting it up.  The idea of breaking down my entire tank is just too much.

I really like both, the rock paint and the blue to black.  I really like the blue to black with the dark substrate.

Very well done, both of you!

Suh-weet! I had thought about trying that, but didn't know how well it would stick to the glass.

FYI, we have a "How to" guide on this on the GCCA site:

I like to line my tanks with insulation foam on the outside.  If I cut the foam just right, and paint it, it fits right up against the glass nicely, and enables me to keep the paint off the aquarium.

I like the look of the stone accent tank. I also really like the blue to black tank it beats the all black background tank. I think that when i ever get to do a Large tank 6' plus i will do either of those two methods depending on the planned stock. i think the fronts look AWESOME against the Blue Black tank.

Very nice.  I like the idea.  I've also faded the colors/used multiple colors on the tanks.
Here's black to blue to black.

This one was black to navy to light blue to tan

That makes more sense.......Phew.....

I have a hard time with the Beasties sometimes.....My Mango is about 9" and my Barred is a Thick 7" Now that may not be big to some of us, but in there, they are kings and only the Lil Grammodes mess's with the big guns.......

I would never attempt a Geo thing in the 220 with that crew...

They have been together for a long time now and seem to not like ANY newcomers, I have learned the hard way...... :-[

If my 150 is not too aggressive I might try them there, but then I might also do Haits in there alone! LOL!

;)
