Yes
We have done a sandstone for my buddies South American Tank....He loves it, but I prefer the Black to mimic the night sky (With moonlamps, the white specks have a starlight effect)

The vasoline was a huge mess, and couldn't get all the air bubbles out. I do not recommend that way!!!

Petsmart sells the all black background. I might just go buy that and try the vasoline trick to put it on the back.

if ur tank is already setup u could always paint onto a poster board or a bed sheet and cut it to size.
just like i am doing.
and if u f up, u dont have to bust out a razor blade

Think I could spray that stuff on one of the plastic backgrounds and then attach it? Since my tank is already filled, I was just going to remove my current background and spray it on there, then put it back up. Think that would work?
