They are probably an Pty. oligacanthus. I would use Northern Red Fin as a location variant in this situation, so in a situation where the fish is proven to be a distinct species, we know that Northern Red Fin corresponds to that.

I got a group of 5 fry yesterday. I have been trying to research these. Some say that they are the same as Ptychochromis oligacanthus, just a locale variant. Any opinions or updated info? I can't find anything newer than 2007 regarding this.
