Orange Chromide (Etroplus maculatus)

9 years 8 months ago #28174 by Steve Woita
I brought a pair back from Minneapolis about 15 years ago!  Extremely peaceful.  Had them in 55 gal with several other species.  They spawned twice for me on under side of bridge.  But no hatchlings.  I can't remember what happened next!    Since then I have not seen any.

Mine are slated as well and are about 1.5 inches long. Cool fish. I've got mine on veggie flakes and brine shrimp.

I have a confession. I'm a cichlaholic.

Sam-do you still have these?  I just picked up a group of eight and was wondering if you have any tips.  I salted the tank and am considering keeping most of the diet veggie.  Real deep bright orange on these at 1-inch.
