Wise council my friend - thanks.
I have a degenerative disk in my lower back that likes to slip every now and then. Less tanks means less maintenance and that is attractive to me right now. I am blessed to have the 240 and 125 both with beautiful wild Mikula gibebrosa. Being content with those tanks/fish is not a hard task. I just need to remind myself to be content with such things as ye have for the Lord hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee
Although these juvies are exceptional, I just can't keep everything I like. I can only hope that somebody close by will get them and I can see them as they continue to develop. That would be the best of both worlds.

-- We all go through this seller's remorse when it is time to make room in the glass boxes. It is particularly keen if you have watched the fish grow, as you have, from fry to near adult size. The longer the grow-out, the larger the regret. Though it may be hard to say goodbye, I would counsel you to move on. There will be more pleasant experiences down the road and the room you make today will be the space you fill tomorrow with the next pleasant thing. As they say, no pain, no gain.

I was not planning for this to be hard… I didn’t think it would even be a tough decision??? That is, until I spent some time with this group, last night, and captured these stills.
These F1 Mikula juvies are from Tau’s first spawn: a grow-out group that I held back, for myself, in a 72-gallon bow front tank. A few months ago, the largest ones were pushing four inches; so, I sold off ten of them to make room for rest. Here’s my dilemma: the remaining 11 are getting big (average is probably over 3-inches and largest are in the 4-inch class). A 4’ grow-out tank is only good for so long. I don’t want to start another 6-foot tank; therefore, I assumed that I would just sell them, right???
After sitting in front of this tank and taking a bunch of pics, I am having a hard time with the thought of selling them. Here’s the reasons why…
