Shepp,  I got mine from the same place you did buddy.  Ole Nuth.  I seem to remember he was clearing some tank space for some new Uaru's he wanted!  LMAO!  If you are looking for fry though,  I know Kegger has a bunch.  Garibaldi does too.

PS for anyone else trying this i noticed that putting a towel over the bucket seemed to help them come out alil faster. that and the lil SOB like to jump from time to time.......

well after 2 months i think im finally done. i moved as many of my larger muties and afew lil ones up to the 40. so thats pretty much complete along with the rocks i bought from menards today the one corner is alil empty if you look into it but i think i may add some more shells, and let the multis do there thing in there. the julies aren't liking the shellies very much right now but they will just have to get along.....

now im left with a 30 gal with a bunch of lil guys in it. im gonna try and sell some of them, i would like to keep some of them too. oh and yes the egg create trick works very well just have to give it time, i also went as far and putting a create with the shells i already "emptied" on the top half of the tank to make sure everything had left them and leave less hiding space on the bottem so i could pick out were who went.

i pulled about 10-15 multies outa there and there are prolly 20+ fry left i cant belive the amount of fry in there:P

You got it right,,the opening should be facing down and the longer you can wait the better..I just pulled 35 multi fry from my 20L..some never were even in shells, just make sure you pull all the shells..you should get 90% or so, breeders and fry..good luck

well i have heard it talked about many times. i know you cut a peice of egg crate big enough to not go all the way to the bottem of a 5 gal bucket and what not. set the shells on there and the eventully go to the bottem of the bucket? any other input on this would help

im moving my shellies from my 30 to a 40L and i dont really feel like putting all the shells in the 40 and i would like to leave a few of the smaller ones in the 30 gal to grow
thanks
neal
