petrochromis sp. redfin longola wild caught colony 21 young adults breeding
petrochromis sp. tembwe texas 20 juvies
petrochromis ephippium "saddleback" 20 juvies

Mike-
I have some questions about petrochromis that you may be able to answer.  What size aquariums are you keeping your petrochromis in?  Do you prefer bare aquariums with sand, or do you add a rockscape?  Finally, do you find 20 fish reduces aggression to manageable levels?

Thank you
-Steven

I've got Lamprologus toae, F1, that I picked up at the Extravaganza in Ohio. I haven't seen these fish in the club, or anywhere in the last ten years. I think the common name is the "Big Eye Lamp".

I don't know much about them (Didn't find a lot on the web) and I keep forgetting to look in my Konings book on Tangs.

Anybody ever kept these guys?  ??? ??? They look superficially a bit like L. tetracanthus and they are pretty feisty.

I have kept these for over a year.  They are a nocturnal rock-dweller that I have found to be VERY hard on one another, but relatively peaceful with tankmates of other species.  Interestingly, I have been able to keep this species with Neolamprologus brichardi, who do not seem to acknowledge the presence of the N. toae.
They are recognized as a branch from the N. sexfaciatus complex.
Wet Thumb Aquatics in New Baltimore, Michigan has them readily available as F1 juveniles, and I have noticed that large quantities of wilds have recently appeared on supplier lists all over the country.
