Saw the post and read it over. I was hoping that anyone that had visited Natural Pet and Fish could tell us how their selection and what not is? ( just like in the other topic about local fish stores, remember to just state the positive things about the store). Thanks in advance.

Found that one on the web: "Oak Park Natural Pet and Fish", 23 N Harlem Av. Ad says specializing in unusual fresh and saltwater fish, I'll have to swing by there one day.

Related...but not...I heard on the radio today a commercial for a new store in Oak Park, had the word "Natural" in the name, I believe. Anyone checked it out yet....?

I had heard a rumor that it is owned by the original owners of Scotts

I never went to King Coral when it was on Montrose, but as Scott said I worked at the shop on N. Elmhurst in Mt. Prospect from once they opened til they closed up shop. Believe it was for about a year and a half or so. Unfortunately, the land lord cranked up the rent a ridiculous amount and Dean and Annie decided to close.

I have a confession. I'm a cichlaholic.

That was King Coral. Was on Montrose about 2 miles west of Kennedy Expy, and 1/2 block east of Central ave and the Walgreens you mention.

can't remeber the name of it myself either, but if memory serves me right(remember I'm old so this is a stretch) I do believe it was on Lawrence just east of Elston and they also used to make acrylic tanks also. I do believe they had closed down I wanna say about 7 years ago

Used to visit a fish store within city limits not far from the Kennedy Xway on the nw side (in the 80's and 90's) can't remember the name and don't see it in the yellow pages so I'm thinking they are gone. They always had a nice selection of Calvus and others, including not so common cories. It was on the south side of the street just east of a drug store(Walgreen, CVS, Osco) which was on the southeast corner. Can't remember either street. Anybody with knowledge, would appreciate it. Thanks, Mike
