I have had these fish for years.  I keep them in groups of 10 or more.  They are a mouthbrooder, male and female hold eggs.
They are a lower tank predator and live in silt in wild where they mate.  In the aquarium,.  they breed in tubes or in the rocks.  Very mellow fish,  very beautiful fish with blue actinic lights.  The only way to sex is to vent as the females while a little smaller are close in size to the mail.  Sandy Brehm in colorado wrote a nice article a few years ago and she has bred them for years.  I have bred them several times and have a shoal that breeds every couple of months,  but I dont catch and strip and none have survived because the fry hang at the bottom.  Also I kept my original group in with P.Cyp. Nigrippinnis and they did not eat the Pcyp fry that swam at the top. These are nice fish and I have supplied a bunch of people in the club with offspring of my ogs.  Good luck, let me know if you want to know anything more specific,  I should be at the classic Lite for a bit on Friday.

I've got no idea, I wish I could help out.

I would try to breed them like you're trying to breed Triglachromis otostigma since they are both mud dwellers.  I've heard the otostigma like to excavate their breeding cave, bury some pvc and let them dig under to create the spawning site.

Not checked for facts.

Looking for any info you might have on them. They are full grown. Males are at close to 6" and the females are around 5". I have 6 in a 75gallon with plenty of clay logs and pots to hide out in.

Some of my questions:

Pair bonders or harem spawner?
egg layers or mouthbrooder or any combo of both?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated.
