Are the auctions reserve,  or no reserve?

Let the world know what you are looking for is the best advice i can give.  i always deliver something at the auction.  Folks will sometimes even try and buy your stuff as you unpack to register.

Run a wanted ad on the classifieds.  It works!

there is no list anywhere of what will be sold. even the auction staff has no idea what is going to arrive until it gets to the auction. sometimes the auction is a crapshoot and you may find what you want, or you may not. I have been to auctions looking for a certain species and not had them come up before i left because i had already bought to much other stuff.

many people like myself register for a seller and an buyer number unsure if they are even going to sell anything at all. right now i think i may only have 2 bags of Julies now since i have sold the other fish i was planning on auctioning.

at the auction you get to preview the bags as they are laid out on the tables behind the registration area. if you see a bag of fish you want you could wait it out for that bag to come up. or you could pay a $3 fee to have the bag made a "priority" which means that where ever it is on the piles to be auction it immediately becomes the next bag up for sale. this would prevent you from waiting all day for a fish you want to come up.

I don't think that they have a seller page for the auctions like they do for the swaps, I do know for the swaps you go to the GCCA homepage and from there you can be directed to the vendor page once everyone knows who wants to be a vendor at that event and then it should have a page of all the vendors who wish to be there and a list of some but not everything they may be bringing with them to sell

also, if you can figure out what type of fish your looking for you can go to the classified area and put up a wanted ad for the type of fish you're looking for and hopefully someone in the area will have what your looking for and reply to you and you can get fish that way also

I was thinking of attending the auction this January.  I have never attended one before.  Is there a list of what the sellers will be auctioning?  I am going to be looking for a colony of Tropheus (unsure of which type yet),  and wanted to know ahead of time if anyone would be selling them there,  before I cancel some other plans I already have.  So does a list get printed beforehand or do I have to go there and hope?

Thanks,  Bob
