I realize we are straying from the main topic but I wanted to add to the last part about tanks.

For myself, I have gotten to the point of preferring longer and wider over taller. I have 3/20H and I feel that the height is a waste with my stocking (tiger barbs). I know that space is usually a premium and that's why they are big sellers. I think I would like to switch to all breeder styled tanks. Too bad they don't make them larger than a 40.

I also like the rock and tank setup!

Fish? What are "Fish"?

I really like the 30 gallon tank. L x W x H makes a great size tank. I really dont like the 29, it's too tall for the length.

I have a 30 at my dad's house. It currently has live plants, convict Juvi's, some rasbora species, and currently a male betta.

I agree you cant compare the tanks I could have gotten the 29 high for 20 bucks but prefer the 30 long at 65 bucks its just better length wise

agreed, my 29 was turned into a pirhana grow out, too tall for my low dwelling cichlids

girl picked up at bar:  oh wow u have alot of fishies in here, arent they supposed to be gold, like goldfish...  why arent these ones gold, oh that one is so ugly, why would u have more than one tank....  (she carried on for about 10 mins).

me:  please get out of my house.

I have seen 30 gallons at the stores. 36x12x16 high. I had one myself, very nice size tank.

Not one pet store including chain stores had them in my area (DORAL) and would not order one. They only had 29 gallon high than next size was 55 gallon standard .I picked up 2 this week and will only buy from now on at pet store that carried them.
One for pair of skinks the other for the backyard patio till Nov to house small tropicals
