Iodotropheus sprengerae "Rusty cichlid", availability?

Thats the interesting thing about mbuna - the more things change, the more they stay the same.

I used to bring in mbuna for the swaps - some odd stuff and then the bread and butter old time standbys like the rusty.

The rusties sold out everytime.

They are pretty mello wfor Mbuna.

I have seen them in "Assorted Afican Chiclids" tanks randomly.

I have a few and I like the contrast they provide.  They are pretty non-aggressive compared to most Mbuna.  Mine have a little purple overtone to them in the right angle of light even though they appear to be brown, and an orange edging to their fins.  They look great with a tank of yellow labs and either an Albino white or a cobalt blue zebra.
I thought I saw some recently at Tropiquatics in their mixed tank.

I really enjoy my rusties, had a hard time finding them locally though. I have some babies right now that I'm hoping to move out at the swap. I think their biggest downfall is they don't really get awesome colors till they hit about the one year mark.

Are Iodotropheus sprengerae "Rusty cichlids" readily available?  Also are they nice looking fish?  The pictures I have seen look nice, but I do not think I have actually ever seen one in person.  Are these fish popular, or are they just not sold much because there are better looking mbuna with blues, oranges, and yellows?
