Quick update. I've been treating the whole tank with metafix. Bubba has died about 3 times. All ulcers have cleared up. His eyes are starting to look better. His tail is still split. He swims in circles at the top and I've been tossing food into his mouth. His belly is a bit sunken in, but he is starting to eat again.

The frontosa died today according to my old lady. She said it was laying side ways under the power head. She tried to get him out and he kept floating. So she went to pull him out of the water to toss him and when she grabbed him he flipped out and started swimming again. I have a 20 gallon tank on the way. I think I'll fill it with tank water and buy a new bigger filter for the 150 gal. Then I'll move the eheim pro 2 over to the hospital tank. Instant hospital so I can salt. Also tossed some metafin stuff in that I grabbed from petsmart. Wish zombie bubba luck.

150 gal tank. He's full grown 12 inches no one picks on him. He's got 14 yellow labs, male ages cobue, two female cobue? A couple plecos 3 cats one large. Female front 8 inches. 3 ice blue albinos (new) there's 2 eheim pro filters 2&3 power head jusr added plants. 90% weekly water changes. On Thursday night last week I didn't see bubba. I moved some rocks around and he must have got confused because he was wedged between the filter intake, heater, and power head against the custom background. I was fighting to get him out which prolly didn't feel good. Then Sunday he basically looked like that.

my question is did he get picked on when you put him in. how did this come about, and how l has it been going on.

again, size tank, fish friends, filters, and what not.

im not a fan of giving advice on meds. but i do always use clean water, heat, and salt as a cure most all med. but if you have cats or plecos in there, the salt is tricky.

and as always, when in doubt, change 50+% water.

If you aerate the bucket that would work. He looks like he's in bad shape.

I think my frontosa is sick. He had one funny looking eye and now they both look like they have a white dot on it. He's got some ulcer looking areas under his chin and on top of his head and his fins are splitting. He's been swimming in circles at the top of the tank. I picked up some methalyn blue at the swap, but it says not to pour in tank. I don't have a hospital tank though. Can I dose him in a five gallon bucket?
