I would focus on reducing any type of stress and performing heavy water changes (as Scott mentioned).

A 10 gallon tank might be small for these fish, are you sure they are not stressing with aggression and water quality.

I know the fish I picked up from the auction I placed in a heavily decorated 20 Long and it was WWIII in there. Some of these fish were less than 1 inch long and were spending a lot time smacking each other around. (still amazed at there aggression).

Over the weekend I moved these fish to a 120 gallon tank with a high volume sump. It is funny to see a 1.5 inch fish attack a 5 inch fish.

Also some of the fish mentioned come from areas where water quality is very high.

Again focusing on solutions if you have a 20+ gallon tank it may make sense to move them. Large water changes weekly or more and make sure the tank is clean and has good hiding spots for fish.

Goodluck,
Jason

What could be the cause of this? I would think the bags would keep this isolated.

I had the same proble with the fish I got from the Auction. I bought 9 red tiger motas, only 3 left. Bag of Bulleris all dead, and 5 umbees all have the fungus...... Talked to albert jr. and he said everything he got is still sick or dead. Hardly any of the methods are working.... Very frustrating

:( I got these fish from the january gcca fish auction. In the bag I notice that one off the fish appeared to have fungus on its tail. I have them in a 10 gal tank and started salt treament. the fungus went away from that fish but another fish got it all over it's body. this started to happen to all six fish. I did water changes and then the first fish got popeye now he/she is fine and the other fish started getting popeye. now their body's are getting skinny they stopped eating looking for help?
