what kind of elongatus?

oh i dont plan on mixing the vics, but can u mix the burtoni with say python islands? i cant make up my mind on if i want python island or the hap."44..but i do want some burtoni, pm sent klassic  ;)

You aren't going to want to mix the Vics. All those fish would work well, although the burtoni can be rough on each other as they get older.

You should buy more females. Generally, Pseudotropheus speciesdo best in numbers so the aggression can be spread out. As far as keeping with Vics, there are many Vic species you could keep with Malawians. Just make sure you buy a fish that can hold its own, has similar tank requirements, and a similar diet. There are many different Vics that could work.

yup..there socolofi, that sucks, my da picked them up for me at an auction  :-[
i only have one female and the male in a 30, should i get more females? and would i be able to keeps vics with them?

from that description they sound like socolofi. did you get them from a breeder directly like at a swap or his house? and for the females, is there many bars very closely spaced? if so then we have socolofi.

ok im starring at them right now ;D
the male is about 4inchs, pale blue but changes to a dark blue. top edge of the fins are black.
female 2 1/2 inchs, same coler but with black bars and not as pale as male.
i bought them as psedotropheus elongatus, thats all i know  :-

and im gonna go contradict myself, but only for the first pic. look at the face. black stripes on it and also a very pointy mouth. socolofi are pretty rounded with algae scraping teeth. im just a little puzzled  ??? ??? ???
