ID relationship Europe - States

Dear all, thanks ;) , great to answer so quick, I was not expecting so many answers!
Now the full story!:!

I am a member of www.haplochromis.org a french guys community of Victorian fans
(we have also an interesting English forum part, if someone is interesting in)
These guys are really rigorous when dealing with strain purity!
(I am not so, at least when I am suspicious on a fish , I prefer to keep it alive)

A lot consider this nyererei as an hybrid but when I bought it, I bought at the same time
Aeneocolor, Flameback  that were really well identifiable!
This is why I am still hesitating, is it really an hybrid or perhaps a wild strain spread some
years ago through United states or Europe!
I kept some juveniles, that are now displaying same pattern as parents !

--*******************************

This is what make the difference between this fish and a normal nyererei strain (makobe/ruty/python)

1°-the body color diffuse some bright green color over the black bars and yellow stripes
2°-there is an orange lisere on the outer edge of the dorsal fin
3°-the dorsal fin is quite all blue , the more related fish python has normally only the spinous front
of the dorsal fin with a blue color

Hello in Belgium and welcome to the Forum.

The fish in the picture looks like Haplochromis nyereri. I think it's the "Python Island" variant. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi everybody,
I am from Belgium ,and I try to trace one of my fish / because when bought in Belgium,
they don't know the exact origin of it!
Now, I found a very similar fish on an American forum www.midwestcichlid.com/
I try to post here on this  forum because it could be related to someone that sold it here
so if someone can tell me more about, really thanks a lot!

Here the picture of my fish

See you all,
Bye
