Just a sidenote for anyone reading this without community aquarium experience.  My tanks are HEAVILY stocked.  They are not a good example of what a community tank should look like and I will advise people NOT to do many of the things I have going on.  At first sign of trouble, I have taken the steps needed to correct the situation, added tanks, rehomed fish, upped water changes, etc.  I am in the process of trying to find homes for my bleeding hearts and serpaes which should be in schools of at least 5 of each, but their comrades died and I am moving towards only small tetras in that tank.  No one in their right mind should keep as many labyrinth fish in one tank as I have and NEVER EVER let 5 inch labyrinth fish spawn in your tank.

Take care,
Mary.
