the driftwood helps with digestion. i feed my bristlenose, zuccini, and green beans.

nah they can breed without dwiftwood....I use dwiftwood because it looks nice...I don't really think plecos eat wood..you can feed peas and other vegie's...everyone has there own opinion..

I take it that the driftwood is key in breeding them? ive that from some people and that it also helps with angels. Thanks

my set up's are plain....

1 heater
1 sponge filter
1 cave
1 peice of dwiftwood
1 peice of rock for the zucihini

my ph is hard 7.0-7.4

breeding is really easy....all you need is 1 plump female and a grown male...
just turn the temperature up to 80 one week and then drop it to 72 degrees the next 1-3 weeks. I do alot of water changes because they poop alot in the 10 gallon. Should breed for you

Can you explain to me your setup for your breeding pairs of plecos? like whats in the tank, temp and what they spawn in. ive got some breeders but i would like to see how people really get into it and go the extra mile. thanks

95 Gallon:
Breeding pair of half black angels
koi angels
Blue eye shortfin pleco 10+
7+ 2-3inch albino longfin plecos
30 gallon:
quad of blue hap ahli's but I just sold em :D

20 gallon:
baby half black angel babies

10gallon:
pair of albino longfin pleco

10 gallon:
Breeding pair of longfin pleco

10 gallon:
Breeding pair of short/longfin brown pleco

10 gallon:
breeding pair of albino/brown longfin pleco

10 gallon:
breeding pair of longfin brown w/calico gene produce 30% albino,40%brown,and 30% calico pleco

10 gallon:
Breeding pair of calico shortfin pleco

10 gallon:
pair of calico longfin pleco

10 gallon:
