Nooooooooooooooooooo-(deep breath)-ooooooooooooooooo!!!

Well that sucks. Now I'll have to try and find some small pet shop to take them off my hands and market them as "Assorted Hap." Thanks for the info!!

The one on the right? For sure not a Red Empress. Hate to use the H-word, but it's a hybrid. Looks to have some sort of mbuna in it.

I have a confession. I'm a cichlaholic.

Me either. That's the problem. I was hoping they weren't mutts of any kind. Currently, the dominant male is around 7 inches in length and less than a year old. He's extremely docile even though the other, more aggressive mbunas are always challenging him. The closest I could find was the Protomelas "Tangerine Tiger."

Hello!!

I picked a pair of these up at the GCCA auction early last year. The guy I bought them from said they were Red Empress, but I don't think they are. In my defense I was an extreme newbie at the time. The male is in the picture to the right (Bluish head, stripe body). I believe it to be of the Protomelas genus.

... Okay. I'd really like to post a picture of this fish, but I don't know how to attach the image. Its a JPEG. Can someone help?

Go it!! Thanks!!
