10 years 3 months ago #23818 by WhiteDevil
Dan has good fish, no casualties just alot of tetra skittishness. other then color loss no stress has been observed either.  Yes I will be back to the next one, figure I had 100 bucks on me and spent 16 including admission, next time bring 300 with me and be there early and get a bigger tank hopefully. I was looking at more angels but I am unsure if 6+ in a 55 is too much.

The guy you got the tetras and neons from was Dan Racinowski. Looking at his table I was against the wall to your right.

Glad you had a good time. Hope to see you next time.

I was looking but was with my dad and he wanted to catch the bears losing again.  I did pick up some fish from a guy to the left but in the first island facing the left wall, 10 red eye tetras and 5 black neons, so far so good, they are eating well already and show no signs of stress or illness.

I was very very tempted to grab a few bags of angels and 3-5 discus but thats why my dad went, the good angel on my shoulder. I was very pleased with what I saw but wasnt expecting to arrive at noon and see 4 trucks loading tanks up. I will get there at 10 next time and get some new hardware.

Do these vendors guarantee the electronics to work? I was going to grab the magnum 350 and a fluval 303  but that worries me.

Great event, Will be at the next one buying plants and hopefully have a table for my guppies, or a small box. I dont think I have the livestock to vend at a swap yet, give me time and a few more swaps LOL.

Throughly enjoyed the hour I was there, thank you for a great first experience.

( when we left my pops stated, I used to do this same $..^ 40 some odd years ago, glad to see some things in the hobby never change)

Dragon, no problem, If I dont spot you, I will either be with my dad( ill have a mossy oak sweatshirt on heather grey with mossy oak down the sleeve) and possibly my bright orange hunting beanie or I will be with my buddy and his wife and kids, he looks like a tall skinny biker(which he is but a cich freak too)

When I get the tickets I will ask her where the dragon is at.

I appreciate this as I think this has just become a family affair with us, sorry south and southwest is 2-3 hours for me to drive and thats hard to do on a sunday, I can attend all North and NW ones.

you can also bring a cooler used for parties and stuff. Anything insulated will work well.

oh, and bring lots of money.

if the fish you purchase have been bagged well, an hour's drive shouldn't be a problem, if you have a styro box handy it will keep the bag temp from getting too cold on the drive home

Good info, thanks. Do you have any tips on getting the fish home? I'll have about an hours drive.
