CONGRATS MAN!!!!!!!

Now before you do anything,  get a good 48" level and make it level.  Then enjoy the $ht out of it!

Oh yeah,  and do you have it right against the wall?  You're gonna need 5"-9" of space back there for filters and stuff.

I was thinking about doing a sump.. but i have no clue what im doing with them.. how to make them not over flow.. get them set up for when the power goes out. I agree with you completely about the sump though. Its too late on the heaters. I already bought them they are being shipped and should be here sometime today. The tank has arrived and is said to be in good condition. Im going to get the rental truck to get it right now!

Snake you could save a lot of money if you made a DIY Sump, which would be way more effective, because you can put your heaters in the Sump which means you don't have to pay the high price for Inline heaters, and you can pump more GPH than any of those filters if you want. I'd say a Sump and an FX5 is better than having the all those small other filters.

Heck no. fyi. my 55 gallon has 3 rena xp3.. Im going to over due it on this tank as well. right now its looking like this. I will add more once fish grow.. but im just getting a bunch of fry LOL.

Fluval FX5
Rena XP3- inline heater going to be attached
Rena XP2 or 1 not sure yet- for another inline heater
2 AC probably the 100 gallon model think its 110.
and possibly my Aqual Unimax Pro 250 UV canister.

as of right now thats what its looking like.

Im leaving tomorrow after my trumpet lesson to go pick it up! assuming its here.. im going to be a little upset if its not.. I moved 2 of the tanks out of my room tonight.. started at like 9 and just got done. I plan on ordering fish sometime next week to give the tank some time to run and work stuff out. I will wait a couple of days to move the xp3 so it can seed the whole tank with beneficial bacteria..

*** I think i know where im getting the fronts from***

The FX5 is neat looking, are you using anything else with it?

Probably going to need more filtration than just an FX5 for a tank that size. I would recommend probably 2 AC110 at least.

Excellent advice.  You will need more filter for sure. My 210 has an FX5, and two AC110's and an XP1.  The FX5 is chock full of pot scrubbers and a bag of bio media and a bag of carbon (the carbon is for the first 60 days to help clear it up).  The 110's have sponges and bio bags,  and the XP1 has just sponge screens. (and an inline heater)

This weekend it will change to the following:

FX5: as is
XP4: pot scrubbers and sponge screens
(1) AC110: as is
XP1: sponge screens and 2 bags of purigen

The XP4 will have an inline heater,  as will the XP1.  That really is the only reason for the XP1,  so I can use the heater.  But id does allow me to load it up with Purigen for pretty water  ;D

Don't stick that in the fish tank!
