I don't think new thread is the best idea. Unless it is sticky and on the top. I would rather like to see a new subpage where everybody and every time can see it.

That is a great idea. If they pin a topic on the forums it would be awsome. I know i am always traveling around the chicagoland area looking for local fish stores

Maybe we should create LFS list (even on a main site). I know only 2-3 stores, but somebody else knows another 2-3 and somebody else another 5 so we could have nice list. GCCA could talk with owners about trading, about putting their addresses on the site etc.

I have found some stores but the fresh water selection is about like Walmart just tetras and the occasional African cichlid

The problem is there are so few stores. When i was breeding a ton of fish, I had two or three stores that would regularly buy 20 lots from me. The only reason they did was because I bought from them. If its a one way street, you'll get pennies, maybe a buck or two. The auctions are the best way, IMO, to unload fish.

The problem with fish breeders is we tend to be greedy and we are all attracted to the new shiny hot fish. They are expensive at first; lots of folks buy pairs or fry to raise; they start spawning; the fry hit the market at a high price; tons of fry hit the market; the price crashes. And then - the fish basically disappears.

Perlmutts
Mloto Fluorescents
Demasoni mozambique
on and on.

there are 2 ways to look at this. are you doing them a favor, or they doing you a favor. and you both have to agree whos doing who a favor. then either they pay, or they give minimal credit. pretty much any store that is not a big box store will wheel and deal. its just deciding on the deal.
