Driftwood/stumps found in rivers and streams

What ratio bleach/water should I use and after they bleached how long of a wait till putting in tank. Thanks

Boiling the wood is also a good option.

You can however I would refrain. This can introduce an amazing amount of problems to the home aquarium, but that's just me.

You can use them after a soaking in bleach water to kill any unwanted bacteria or other microscopic critter that might call your new decoration home. I would do this for at least a week or 2 while changing the water every other day or so.

The other option is to bake the wood, but this is generally not an option for most households for obvious reasons! ;)

I was wondering if i could use pieces of Driftwood/tree stumps that were taken out of rivers and streams and use them in my aquarium? if so what would i have to do to them to make them safe to use thanks mike
