Im going to bring money hoping to find a pair of convicts. Anyone selling a pair at the auction? ???

You can probably pick up about 100 of them at the auction for $20.  No joke.  There were bags of 5-10 convicts selling for $1 at the last auction.  They are the hamsters of the cichlid world.  Everyone who has a pair winds up with 100 of them in 3 months!  LOL

You have to bid on fish.  You could arrange to buy fish from sellers at the auction, but once it hits the table it's fair game for all.

Got Dempseys??? Check out:

Yep, last winter auction in Jan-08 the avg bag price was $11 and change. The last classic auction in may was Just under $13 per bag avg "Heavy in Tropheus w/ one bag at $120" but also some going for $1. It just depends on who wants what and how bad they want it and when their there. For the most part I have found, like our swaps, you will get a better quality fish from a local breeder any pay less than your box stores can provide.
