I wouldn't eat the chili either!  ;D

I will be there too! Is anyone bringing fish to show?
June 30 is the final day to register fish!

I'm prolly not going now since I dont have anyone to split my room. It's just too expensive to do alone. Plus the $147 entry fee was kinda steep.

I've been to two aca conventions and I'll be honest, they are a little tedious.

Then again, I feel the same way about the classic.

I attended the convention in Georgia last year. It was a good time, but rather expensive because of the distance and gas prices and what not. It's a neat experience and Cincinnati is considerably closer. Plus a guy I met in Georgia told me that the Ohio club puts on better conventions and gets more turnout. Who knows?
I won't be attending this year, though deep inside I'm already regretting it. Don't go alone though. I did. I'm sure it's even better when you have somebody to share the experience with. If I didn't have a previous engagement that weekend, I'd probably go this year.
I look forward to the Milwaukee convention in 2010! ;)

I have trip on Friday and Saturday but Sunday is open.  Looks like a road trip for the auction, just not sure if I am going to leave Saturday afternoon or Sunday early

I was in Spain in 1983 and got Lobster in chocolate mole sauce, it was excellent. Many mole sauces contain just a small amount of choc, and I believe that may be where the chili recipe got it.
Don't think Snickers, think thickening and richness.
The last time I was in Mexico I was served an orange, with a drop oh hot sauce, it was also excellent, the heat brought out the flavor of the orange.
I've also heard a drop of Tobasco in a chocolate malt is very good, but haven't had the cajones to try it yet.

Too early too tell.  I am only able to plan bodily functions and my morning commute.  Everyone else controls the remainder of my schedule.

So sawboy, slover, and nuth are the only people from the GCCA going to Cincinnate?

Jeff, you have to realize that if you put Sawboy and a town together in the same sentence your spelling is gonna have to be correct, Sawboy WILL go to the wrong town ya know  :D
