Horror Pictures

Some crazy pictures, I've been pretty lucky over the years, never had anything get eaten that I have seen but have had a few jumpers before that were found extra crispy. Even with tiny amounts of open space I've seen fish jump out through them, it's crazy. Had a big male Telmatochromis vittatus that a few times managed to get out of a quarter sized opening. One time he was half dried and crispy but breathing, put him back in water and he lived a long time after that with a number of batches of fry too!

That artificial holey rock from Glass Cages I got last summer at the ACA still looks great and makes for safe hiding for tropheus when my dog charges the tank sitting at floor level.

-- I finally have some horror photos. Don't know if I should be glad or terrified about that. These fish all decided to take their own lives in one night - 12 bristlenose plecos. They climbed through a small hole in the lid no more than two square inches in size.

-- I have since lowered the water level.

1: Nice whitey!

2: Why wasn't I invited?

3: going to be doing some rearranging in the fish room. I'm a little frightened to see what I find!!

No, that was a joke. It not a Tri-mac. That would be so wrong.
It's two of these guys from our recent fishing trip at Wolf River in Wisconsin.

Here is few new ones:

Zombie Texas Cichlid.
Not sure what happen. He had few scratches from fight and than it spread on one eye. Other than appearance he is fine, eating and swimming normally.

Raccoon got him. Not sure how, because my outside bin has a heavy cover, with only small opening for feeding.

Oh my, Mario, you have quite a few good ones. I feel you with the zebra pleco; anytime you lose a fish of that monetary investment it hurts. Love the shot of the rotting Aulonocara stuck in the decor and the "dry goods" shot. This is a great thread. I don't think I have any of these tragedy type photos in my collection, but I'm going to be vigilant for opportunities in the future.
