Why are all the biggest fish in this tank crammed into a 4" space on one side?

File Attachment:

Why is this compressiceps getting chased all over by a female kribensis?

More pics:

Eggs in this skull pretty much all the time. Makes a good nest. Could use another to swap in place when I steal their eggs.

Kribs do an amazing job guarding fry in this crowded tank. I see random fry darting around all over.  Comps are very happy.  just stole some eggs. The krib tried to bite it once but learned its lesson fast.
color's off in this one.

better color, worse flash

Congrats on the spawn.  It'll be pretty hard to get any fry out of there...unless you steal the rock with eggs attached hoping the eggs are fertilized...then you'd need to do the meth blue trick like in the how to section of the gcca website. gcca.net/howto/hatch_substrate_spawners.htm

Also I think with kribs...or maybe it's just teniatus... but something to do with the Ph cause fry to be mostly males or females....I can't remember, but try doing a little googling if you're interested.

Not checked for facts.

Bored, have some pics

I thought these were supposed to be easy to breed so I put a pair alone in a ten gallon for four months and nothing ever happened. Their tank started leaking a few days ago so I dumped them in the already way overcrowded 55.  I guess they needed a few dither fish, about 50 of them, to fight off.  If I  end up with fry I'll be amazed.

could maybe use a cleaning

They managed to find a spot

maybe 50 eggs. fungus would not surprise me

Half dozen peacocks really want to steal those eggs. male does a good job. Fifty other fish keep to the other side for now.  Will have to face plecos and synodontis tonight
