Don't think it would look too decorative once done, probably better to buy rocks without holes, imho.

Alright those figured to be the best 2 options. And he fish aren't stressed, he just doesn't want them to go in there, he has a pretty nice tank.

does silicone float some sites say yes and other say no.  I only had a small test peice and it seemed to float.  So if you just silicone the opening closed the rock may then float

if the fish are hiding and you cover up the hole you may end up with some dead fish or stressed fish

A guy i work with asked me how to plug some holes in his decoration so his fish wont go inside it because its hollow. Well i figured just silicone it. Any buddy have any ideas? Also thought about using a epoxy. Here is the ornament www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3202491
