I would definitely be careful with cats. Stepping in litter boxes and all. You really never know what that cat litter is made of. Of course there is the fecal matter and urine as well.

you know i always wondered this about my cat too...  he better not be gettin me sick anytime, or his 4 lives he has left will be down to 3.

girl picked up at bar:  oh wow u have alot of fishies in here, arent they supposed to be gold, like goldfish...  why arent these ones gold, oh that one is so ugly, why would u have more than one tank....  (she carried on for about 10 mins).

me:  please get out of my house.

Me being ill usually = more down time = more water changes and better quality of life for fish.

Unless, of course, they catch my highly contagious rash. [a joke]

Just don't spit in your tanks.... ;D

Seriously though... Wash your hands good, and don't sneeze or cough into the tanks and you should be fine. I have never had a problem but I don't get sick that often.

Well I have been home for a couple days now, I feel horrible and need to do water changes. Is there any risk in doing a water change on my tanks while I am sick? Has anyone had any issues with this?
