I started with 8 young adults lost one and had seven adults that were breeding in 38 gallon bow front tank.

They were good sized but still had some growth left in them before, I passed them on.

But I had probably +30 pieces of river rock, cichlid stones, plus PVC breeding pyramids, that covered the tank front to back.

A Pig and a Chicken are walking down the road. The Chicken says, "Pig, I was thinking we should open a restaurant!". Pig replies, "What would we call it?". The Chicken responds, "How about ham-n-eggs?" The Pig thinks for a moment and says, No thanks. I'd...

Definitely true and even with 15 some will likely get knocked around. I've heard that you could a quad or a trio of demasoni with 100 to 200 1"-2" mubuna fry, like red zebra, but it isn't very practical for the average hobiest.

Not checked for facts.

Negative Karma for rule enforcement is a badge of honor :)

Did not see anyone else chime in -

Demasoni are real nasty and like to nail each other all day long.

I just got rid of a group of seven of them and there was always fin torn or something going on.

Without a picture I cant guess as to what is wrong with her.

Performing a large water change 70% to 80%, twice in one week and maybe adding some Salt can help a lot minor cuts and bruises cure quickly.

Make sure there are lots places (rocks, pvc, etc ) for the smaller demasoni to get away from the bigger one.

Im just starting on keeping Cichlids . I bought a pair of Demasoni 8 months ago at a local pet shop .I have the pair in a 75 gallon tank with several Yellow Labs. The male Demasoni is the boss of the tank and chases her around . But I noticed a few months ago that the female had a bump on the side of her cheek and bottom lip. Has anyone seen this before ? And what should I do to get rid of it ? Matt
