Melafix vs Extra Strength Melafix Cichlid

9 years 8 months ago #23730 by WhiteDevil
I use the extra strength stuff at work and got it at home. 5ml/50g 2%

2% will not make a difference. Just smell stronger on your end and the fish tend to heal a little quicker and stay healed(no relapse).

Have never seen the extra strength stuff. Funny though that the difference is only 1%. I would think that it would be ok as long as dosing was followed in the directions. Although I doubt it's any different than the regular stuff.

I've been using melafix for years now and I got a bottle of Extra Strength Melafix Cichlid in a raffle bag at the monthly meeting. Has anyone used the extra strength? The only real difference I see is the active ingredent in Melafix is Melaleuca at 1% and the active ingredent in Extra Strength Melafix Cichlid is Melaeuca at 2%.

I wonder what difference it makes, which I should use for what. As with the Melafix I have been using for years, I have no reason to believe that I can do any harm with either in moderation.
