Thanks Shepp, I'm a big fan of hakari. I'll try those.

i feed hakari massivor sinking pellets and my bichir and plecos love them.....they are pricy here but well worth it....

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it. Pee on it and walk away.

Just have to make sure he/she is getting enough food. Otherwise it will munch on your fish. I had that problem with a 9" common. He is now at the petstore in a 400 gallon pond.

Dragon,

I would say the wound is about the size of a queen's sucker. Butterfly is too big. I,m learning something new because I always thought the queen was a very timid pleco, but you never know what happens after dark.

Should i buy some sinking carnivore pellets or move her in with my single oscar? She's such a pretty fish that I hate to move her out of my show tank. But I will if i have to.

I would put my money on the Queen. They are definite carnivores. The other 2 are more omniverous, but still like the meaty diet. BN is pretty much a herbivore.

Does the size of the mark match any of the pleco's suckers?

What kind of plecos? I have lost a fish or to to a hungry pleco before. Keep in mind the majority of plecos are not vegetarians.

Thanks for the help Klassic,
I have him in quarantine, I will add salt as you suggest. Someone else mentioned Aeronomas as a possible cause, but I don't think it matches up to the symptoms. A one time topical dose of Betadine was also suggested. I've never done this, but it seems like a logical response.

I also have corys and plecos in the tank, but they have been in there for years now with no problems.

I have had something similar to that with angels. i have a similar setup as you do, except all angels in a 75 with plecos and other cats. Anyway, i would guess either a bite wound from something (believe it or not) or a scratch. i am not sure if it is any disease. Try using Pima and Mela fix in the hospital tank or a good dose of aquarium salt. i hope this helps, but if the fish makes it through it probably will have a nice scar on the side. if you could post some pics, that would help.
